Alexis and Sheila are both Colorado natives; they represent the Western and Eastern slopes of Colorado, giving rise to Rocky Mountain Roots Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, LLC. Living in Colorado provides some unique opportunities and also creates health concerns that even the healthiest of person is subject to. Being natives, Alexis and Sheila have a great understanding of how living in Colorado can affect the body and its performance.

     Rocky Mountain Roots is a general health clinic and we treat various conditions such as, but not limited to: stress, pain, headaches, allergies, digestive problems, depression and anxiety, female health issues, common colds and flu, chronic diseases and autoimmune disorders.

    Sheila Sale, a Colorado native, is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Denver, Colorado and is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.   This certification includes an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of acupuncture, its adjunct therapies, and Chinese herbal medicine.  She earned a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Sheila has completed additional training in Advanced Diagnosis and Differentiation.   She was trained by Acupuncturist Without Borders to organize relief efforts and to give acupuncture treatments and support for community trauma in the face of natural or other disasters.  This training also included the treatment of conditions that can be specific to Veterans.  Sheila is also a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker and a level II Reiki Practitioner. 

     She approaches her patients from an attitude of humility, respect and compassion.  Her goal is to educate her patients and to give them high quality, individualized healthcare.    

      Sheila is the co-owner of Rocky Mountain Roots Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, LLC and practices acupuncture in Denver, Colorado.  The Denver based acupuncture clinic is located in the heart of the city, just south of downtown, in the Golden Triangle District.  She also practices in Eastern Colorado serving the I-70 corridor.   

     Alexis Krute earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Colorado. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist, a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, and a certified herbalist. She has completed additional training in advanced diagnosis and differentiation.

      Alexis grew up in Montrose, Colorado and then re-located to Fort Collins to graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After moving to Denver, Alexis had the opportunity to observe the positive changes acupuncture was having in the Colorado community. From the western slope to the eastern plains, the opportunity to obtain acupuncture and alternative health care for chronic and acute ailments is rapidly growing. As an alternative health care provider, Alexis strives to provide a caring, progressive and comprehensive approach to healing.

     Amanda Sides is a Thai Bodywork Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher.  She studied Thai bodywork at the Denver School of Thai Massage, and yoga with Yogi Vishvketu in Rishikesh, India.  Her own yoga practice has taught her the importance of unwinding, taking time to "give back" to your body, and nurturing the connection between your mind, body, and spirit.  Whether you are looking for increased flexibility, pain relief, or just some time away from the hustle of the day to relax, Amanda looks forward to sharing the ancient arts of yoga and Thai bodywork with you.
